Isaiah Ekejiuba visited Seahawks, and Leroy Hill Job in jeopardy.

Free-agent linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba visited the Detroit Lions on Wednesday and met with the Seattle Seahawks last Thursday and Friday as he works to land a job before training camps open.

Ekejiuba was surprisingly released earlier this month by the Oakland Raiders and is considered a standout performer on special teams with 24 tackles over the last two seasons. The Raiders thought enough of him to sign him to a $5.4 million, three-year contract entering last season. He collected nearly half of it — $2.45 million – and is now in demand.

According to a league source, Ekejiuba is also drawing interest from the Cleveland Browns, who open training camp on Friday. Stay tuned to see where he lands.

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill was in court Wednesday for the latest round of pre-trial motions in his domestic violence case.

Is Leroy Hill Job In jeopardy?

Hill is facing a misdemeanor charge of assault stemming from an April altercation with his live-in-girlfriend.

Hill’s defense attorneys and prosecutors agreed that the Seahawk linebacker’s statements to police could be admitted into evidence, but his previous misdemeanor charges were off limits.

He is due back in court next Friday at which point the judge could set a trial date. The trial could begin as early as next week.

Hill, who is also facing possible punishment from the league, is scheduled to report to training camp on July 30.

Because of the scheduling, Hill could miss part of camp.

The NFL previously suspended him for the first game of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
